Dazy's Basketry Workshops
I find every aspect of weaving baskets exciting and therapeutic. The process of gathering, processing the material, and then finally the creativity of weaving. Working with natural materials such as barks, roots, grasses and bull kelp, allows and encourages each basket to be a whimsical, unique, one of a kind creation. I've had the good fortune to learn from some amazingly talented basket masters, and now, one of the things that I find most rewarding, is to "turn on" other people to the joys of weaving. So, please come and be a basket case.
MAKE BASKETS NOT WAR
You're invited to come and make a basket at one of the 2011 Summer Basket Workshops. Enjoy learning a new weaving techique working with barks, roots, grasses and bull kelp gathered from the local forests and beaches. We will be working outside on the decks, enjoying the beautiful ocean views, sharing laughs and lunch with locals and meeting some new friends. All this, plus going home with a beautiful basket at the end of each workshop. Check the calendar for the workshop dates.
