Lasqueti is quite sparsely populated and lies in a rare ecosystem type - the Coastal Douglas Fir zone.  Our famous herds of feral sheep, along with the unique history of settlement have resulted in an ecology and natural environment with its own character.

Our Isle & Times is a monthly, community-supported newsletter, i.e., the articles and ads are written by community members, which has been published for 14 years.  It follows in the footsteps of many other fine newsletters that existed under different names and incarnations on Lasqueti.

The first Saturday of each (winter) month, come to the Community Hall and enjoy a scrumptious meal, with soup, bread and dessert table.  The evening is complemented by a line-up of talented performers: musicians and sometimes clowns, jugglers, and storytellers.

Dinner starts at 6:00pm, entertainment at about 7:00pm.
