Last Resort Gala Auction

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

The Lasqueti Last Resort Society is delighted to be hosting a spectacular dinner and auction this summer.

Thanks to the generous gift of property from the Magic Mountain Land Co-Op, finally, after ten years of volunteer preparation, we can begin building our first Health Centre.  This requires intensive fund raising.

To begin this process, on August 13, 2011, at 7 P.M. at the historic Tea Pot House, chef Bruce Wood from Bruce’s Kitchen, Salt Spring Island, will create a six course Epicurean Tour featuring local delicacies, with an auction to follow.  Tickets for the evening, pre-sold only, will be $50 per plate.  This includes a door prize ticket for 3 Lasqueti Last Resort ball jackets.  There will also be live ambient music for your dining pleasure.
A variety of wines, local and commercial, will be available at $6 per glass.

While you enjoy the final course ( Salt Spring cheeses, local fruits, biscotti and Wolf Island Chocolates) the small but exclusive Art and Exotic Travel Accommodation Auction will begin.  The truly unique items include works by local artists and artisans, and deluxe vacation destinations.  Browse the complete list of auction items below.

This is a great opportunity to support our new Health Centre.  Please consider making a generous personal or corporate donation, or bidding on one of our fabulous auction items, even if you cannot attend our dinner.  
All donations are eligible for a non-profit tax receipt.
