RAR Meeting

Just a brief note about the Community Information Meeting about the proposed RAR bylaw held on March 14th. Over thirty people attended, and there was a presentation by staff about RAR and what the process has been to date. In general, many people expressed a sentiment that the watershed model was too vague and placed too much onus on individual landowners. A stream-by-stream model was discussed, and several good ideas were brought forward. Staff will be looking at the feasibility and financial ramifications of these options, and we will be considering all of of this further at our next business meeting April 9th, 11:30 at the Art Center. The process is expected to take several more months to complete, so there will be plenty of opportunity to express your views on implementing RAR. Thanks to everyone who attended, wrote, phoned, or emailed. Your input is vital to our decision making. Thanks also to the PAC for providing lunch and goodies.

Please feel free to contact your Trustees on this, or any other matter of concern.
