The Internet Centre provides public access to computer and office equipment, including a copier and fax machine. Volunteers staffing the centre can also provide help and assistance when you need it. The centre boasts a dedicated microwave high-speed internet connection provided by the Provincial Department of education's PLNet,. It is located in the School Board Teacherage at False Bay School, where the equipment is shared with the school and the Independent Studies Program.
Volunteers & Funding
The Internet Centre is run by the Lasqueti Internet Access Society (LIAS), in partnership with several government agencies. Please see the LIAS home page for more information about our partners and funders.
The centre is maintained and staffed by volunteers - we gratefully acknowledge this valuable community service - please take a moment to thank them for their time and effort when you see them at the centre.
