Lasqueti Island Public Engagement

At the Regional Board meeting held on August 27, 2015, staff were directed to come forth with information on committees, commissions, rescinding bylaws and cemetery service withdrawal.

On Friday, August 28th, the Regional District office was compromised with no e-mail access. September is a condensed meeting month due to the UBCM Convention. Key staff for writing the respective reports are out of the office. The submission deadline for reports to be included on the agenda is Friday, September 4th. Turnaround time between meetings for preparation is generally 3-4 weeks.

Due to the circumstances above, there is just not enough time or resources to produce the requested reports in September. Therefore, the reports will be postponed to an upcoming Committee of the Whole meeting in October. Apologies for any anticipation that may have been looming.
