It was sweet to see a few folks publicly speak up to defend our friend and community member, a woman who has contributed to our island in many, many ways.  The "Letter to the Editor" on Page 4 speaks to this.

Cemetery Work Party

Finally the deer have discovered the cemetery. Munch goes the tulips.

Work has begun on deer proofing but our cemetery committee could use more help.

So, on Sunday April 21st we will be having a work party. 11:00 on.

More info to come. Just saving the day before it gets taken.

THE LASQUETI YACHT CLUB SPRING BAY RACES

This year we are once again continuing the “ KIDS FUN EVENTS”.

Last year we had over 115 people out for what is a great community event on the beach.

Ferry Meeting Report

The "What We Heard" report complied by MLA Walker's staff has been posted on the website, and can be viewed using the link below.
I will be speaking with him in the next few days on next steps. 

Lasqueti Ferry Town Hall: What We Heard

As of January 2024, the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure that is responsible for highways and ferries, and BC Ferries that oversees the contract with WPM to operate the Lasqueti Ferry, have not answered the call for a public engagement process.
